Conversion A Crime?
Our Rights
For everyone few words such as freedom, equality, justice mean something because without it life would certainly not be worth living.
Among all the dividing factors in this world like race, colour, sex or religious beliefs all have something in common too, we all are human beings, we all live in this planet earth, we all share the same air and sunshine, we all have the right to live and enjoy this unique thing called 'life'.
As much as we have a right to live so do we have a right of belief. Someone likes the sun, someone adores the moon, few are amazed by the stars, everyone has a point of view that may or may not be similar to each other.
Nobody can change somone's beliefs forcefully, as one can subdue or kill one's body but not the mind. A good instance comes in mind where saint Peter and few other apostles were beaten up and commanded not to speak in the name of Jesus. (Acts 5:40) A reputed Pharisee named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law had then said "Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. (Acts 5:38-39)
Right Belief
The right of belief does not give us the right to kill for our beliefs. As no two persons fingerprints match with each other so is our thinking different from each other, everyone looks into a matter from a different perspective.
It lies upon us humans to distinguish between right and wrong because it is in our capacity, with a clear reasoning and understanding we ought to know and differentiate whether our belief is right or wrong.
One can ask a simple question to himself in order to distinguish between the two, like does my belief hampers the right of any person? if the answer is yes then that belief can never be a right one. A medicine having more side effects than its healing properties cannot be prescribed.
Is Conversion Right?
When we talk of conversion i will use it in the context of changing of ideas or beliefs. In a world of differences conversion may become a necessity like for instance, due to matrimonial reasons or for the purpose of inducing oneself into an other community being alone or maybe for any other personel reasons, but this kind of conversion is for convenience nonetheless they cannot be considered invalid and are harmless.
In real place conversion occurs when a persons belief changes due to reason or due to any incident taking place in his life (personal experience), where he feels that the new belief is the one for him. As human form changes from time to time so is our ideas and beliefs subject to change with time. In fact it would not be wrong to state that various cultures and beliefs are governed by time.
Conversion is a natural process which takes place inside us since childhood when ideas start forming inside us. As Saint Paul states "When i was a child, i thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." (1corinthians 13:11) We question, we reason, and we accept an idea or belief at a point of time which we feel proper or good while some other idea or belief may override it at a later point of time which may seem more proper or better. A man is what his thoughts are as thoughts govern our bodies,
hence our beliefs are an important part of our lives. Any kind of shackle to the right of belief would be like forbidding someone from the basic activities of life, like to think, eat or sleep.
Right Conversion
The Bible teaches us that God does not need any man's help, he is self sufficient. (1Samuel 6:6-7) If a faith be of God no man would be able to overthrow it neither will it need any assistance from man to safeguard it.
